  • Reporting options - Point construction

Point Construction provides information at discrete points and is typically used to calibrate large scale structural surveys.

The Point Construction option provides thickness measurements at specified discrete points. In effect it’s the equivalent of an intensive coring programme but without the health and safety risk and the disruption to traffic.

It is typically used to calibrate large scale structural surveys, for example by reporting layer thickness at FWD testing points. The construction data can be averaged over defined distances to match the approximate extent of deflection bowls and to reduce the effects of relocation disparity between tests. Typical measurement ‘footprints’ are between 2 and 10m.

The Point Construction format relies on accurate survey integration with other tests throughout the project cycle. Aperio processing software enables our data analysts to overlay core results and the position of other tests onto the GPR data to make the most reliable interpretation and ensure that the test point is calibrated with the right thickness measurement.
